MAKE YOUR WEBSITE AND DIGITAL FILES ACCESSIBLE
One in five people in Sweden has some type of disability. This could affect vision, hearing, speech, physical ability or neurological or cognitive function. As our society becomes more digital, there is also a demand that everyone should be able to access information easily, regardless of any challenges they face. At Brandperior we’re always learning about new tools that helps us create top-notch materials, both in print and digital formats.
We see this as simple common sense. We also work with visually impaired partners to check the quality of our work.
Legal requirements for accessibility
It is important to know about Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). These are standards for making information and communication technology accessible. Various guidelines have existed since the early 1990s, with stricter rules and laws coming into force since 2018. From June 2025, new consumer products and services must follow web accessibility laws. With some exceptions like companies with fewer than 10 employees. Existing offerings should be updated by 2030. This covers banking services, apps, computers and e-commerce. More information is found here.
