NEW LOGOTYPE AND GRAPHIC PROFILE

Mark Borås Basket is one of the leading teams in the Swedish women’s basketball premier league (SBL Dam), and they also maintain a developing team in division 1. Their vision focuses on establishing positive and influential role models for girls in Sjuhäradsbygden, whilst promoting basketball played with fairness, inclusivity and equal terms.

WHAT WAS THE ASSIGNMENT FOR MARK BORÅS BASKET?

The prominent Marbo Basket and the emerging Sjuhärads basket united to form Mark Borås prior to the 2024/25 season, making it necessary with a fresh logotype and visual identity. Christian Nilsson is marketing responsible, and he reached out to Brandperior regarding the project.

Nothing could make us prouder than a prestigious project like this. Brandperior is a sponsor of the basketball team and has always been impressed by their ethos, making this assignment particularly meaningful to us.

Following workshops and some different sketches, we landed a logogtype together that reflects the game, the team, and all their great fundamental values.

First, we there’s the basketball, representing the essence of the game ensuring immediate recognition. It captures the excitement and the action on the court. Below lies the net/basket symbolising precision, skills and tactical thinking – crucial elements for individual excellence and success for team and the association. It emphasizes the importance of goal setting and teamwork. Finally, the name is placed centrally between these elements, neither name larger than the other, reflecting an equal fusion where every element holds the same level of importance.

The logotype is clear in its message and the design is timeless to stay current.

WHAT WAS MARK BORÅS MOST SATISFIED WITH?

Brandperior sponsored Sjuhärads Basket for the 2023/24 season, making them a natural choice when seeking a new graphic profile. Straightaway it became evident that Brandperior have the heart at the right place, and the project commenced promptly. We wanted something innovative and striking, distinct from Marbo’s or Sjuhärad’s previous profiles. Brandperior was quickly on the spot, and through collaborative discussions, we finalized the logotype and profile.
